Cold sterilisation, in line with infection control procedures, is a process of sterilising re-useable instruments, using cold sterilisation liquids. This process is often referred to as cold, because it best applies to heat-sensitive instruments that are unable to withstand high temperatures that are used in autoclaves and dry heat sterilisers.
